Travel Details
Arrival in Santiago should be on the morning of August 21 (US departure will be August 20). Departure from Santiago should be after 5pm on September 1 (US arrival will be September 2.)
Please arrange ground transportation to the Valle Nevado hotels to arrive by 1pm on August 21, and depart after 12 noon on September 1. It’s a 2–3 hour trip to and from the resort and the airport.
Camp Focus
Basic fundamentals through free skiing drills, GS/SL training, and video review. We may have the opportunity for campers to participate in some local races during camp — details are pending until the Chilean Federation finalizes the race schedule. We may also visit the surrounding ski areas La Parva and El Colorado.
On-Slope Lodging
The group stays at convenient on-slope lodging. Ski-in, ski-out accommodations make for an easy day of training, freeskiing, rest, and conditioning — no daily travel required. SCI Chile Camp offers accommodations in either the Puerta del Sol Hotel or the Tres Puntas Hotel.
Hotel Puerta del Sol
A 3+ star hotel, centrally located, with rooms facing north (ski terrain and pool views) or south (resort view with bay window). Direct access to the outdoor pool, a Kids Zone, internet center, and the Mirador del Plomo Restaurant.
Tres Puntas Hotel
A comfortable 3-star hotel at the base of Valle Nevado, with panoramic windows and views. Note: nightly live music can be audible and may affect sleep for some guests.
Hotel Services
Swimming pool & spa, game room, fitness center, ski storage, restaurant, air conditioning, controlled heat, laundry service.
Hotel Rooms
Cable TV, direct national & international dialing, private bathroom, heater, safety box.
Meals will be eaten at one of the resort’s restaurants. Free internet access for personal computers is available in the lobby, and study hall time is set aside daily.
